Nowadays all bridles seem to come with a Flash noseband which keeps the mouth shut and the bit central in the mouth but

sometimes a change of noseband is more effective than changing the bit. A Mexican Grackle or the old fashioned Drop noseband with either a higher or lower pressure point on the nose can do the trick.

For horses that cross their jaws it would be worth considering either the Mexican Grackle or the Combinaton/Lever Nosebands.

For effective nose pressure there are the Rope nosebands and the old favourite the Kineton or Puckle noseband.
