The Mullen mouthpiece is a very kind one as it gives even pressure accoss the mouth. It is generally used for horses that need confidence to go forward and take the bit. The softer the mouthpiece then more encouragement is given, for example the Nathe.

Straight bar mouthpieces are a little stronger.

Included in this section are the Danger/Ez Control and the Lock In Snaffle as they all lock to become a straight bar.
